Deb’s Dog of the Month - Helping Shelter Dogs for Five Years!

"Deb's Dog of the Month" is a program established for the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter (UPAWS) in memory of Deb Danielson by her family. Deb was a very devoted dog and animal lover all of her life. Deb lived and worked in the Marquette community for years. Many people loved her and miss her greatly. Deb’s sister Mikki and her family are grateful that Deb’s love of animals and her legacy can live on through the work of the Deb’s Dog program and UPAWS.

UPAWS shelter dogs requiring additional veterinary care benefit from the program. The Deb's Dog program also provides special donations to help the dog's stay at the shelter more comfortable and pleasant. “Deb's Dog” is featured in the Action Shopper's Pets for Adoption page as well as on the UPAWS Web site each month.

“Deb's Dog of the Month” has been established since October 2006 and has made a huge difference in the lives of homeless dogs. This caring program has saved the lives of numerous shelter dogs, making sure they have the vet care that they need. The Deb’s Dog program also has donated to start our heart worm testing program and donated much needed supplies and donations for our shelter dogs such as Kuranda dog beds, Merrick bones, Program treatment, toys and much more!

For the past 5 years each month a lucky dog is chosen to benefit from this caring program AND every Deb's Dog has been adopted!!

UPAWS is honored to have such a wonderful caring program to help our dogs! UPAWS would like to thank the community for supporting the Deb’s Dog of the Month program.

If you would like to donate to this caring program and help our homeless dogs, please indicate "Deb's Dog of the Month" with your donation.
