Guy was adopted by a great family! The following is his original story:
Guy is a gentle and somewhat timid 2 year old beagle/hound mix. He came to the shelter as a stray that had been running alone for a while. A kind person was able to catch him in a live trap and brought him to the shelter. He was very nervous and scared at first and wouldn't even move to go for a walk, but after some kind words, gentle pets and making friends with the other dogs at the shelter, Guy has come right around. He has turned into the sweetest fellow! He is so loving and gentle and sweet. He loves to cuddle and once he knows you he will run up to you smiling and tail wagging. He is a comical, fun loving guy that loves other dogs. The other dogs in the shelter have helped Guy come out of his shell. His best buddy is Zoey and he loves to play with her, but he also gets along with Toby and Piper. Guy is a very special boy that will need a wonderful home. He wants a home that will help him become brave and also will keep him safe. He needs a home where he won't have a chance to get loose and lost again. Guy would also love a home with another dog because he loves to play and looks towards other dogs to learn how to be brave.
Guy is a love bug and is adored by all the shelter staff. He is also a favorite of the volunteers. He is super cuddly and loves to get attention. He is very special and one of a kind. He has his own unique personality and story. Guy just wants a family to love him and keep him safe and he will give back that family plenty of love. If you think you can provide Guy the home he needs, come meet him!
Guy has been chosen as our Deb's Dog of the Month.* Typically beagle that are not fixed have a little harder time being adopted and especially ones such as Guy who may need a little extra TLC. Guy came to MCHS not neutered, which would mean he would of been a full price adoption. To help Guy have a better chance at being adopted sooner, the Deb's Dog Program sponsored his neuter and vaccinations. This not only helps Guy with his medical care but helps get our pets adopted!
Through the Deb's Dog Program, he will be sponsored for his neuter surgery and vaccinations and offered at an sponsored adoption rate of $55.
