March 2011 Buddy
March's Deb's Dog was Buddy. The Deb's Dog Program donated to our Heart Worm Testing Program. Buddy was adopted to a great home! Below is original bio:Meet Buddy! A wonderful 7 & 1/2 year old male neutered Basset Hound with a great personality! Buddy is a sweetheart! He came back with us from the MI No-Kill Conference! He found himself in the shelter system because his former owner was moving and couldn't take him along. What can we say...after all those hours in the car with Buddy...we all LOVE LOVE LOVE him!! What a affectionate, sweet handsome man! He thinks he is a lap dog! He can't get close enough! But he also loves to go for walks and hikes in the woods, play in the doggy play yard (he like to romp around with his friend Monkey), and just be plain goofy! He is inactive indoors but outdoors will run for hours in play if given the chance. He will do okay without a big yard, but should be given plenty of opportunities to run and play to keep him healthy and trim. He is best placed in a home without little babies since he takes his snacks a little fast from hands sometimes (just mildly, he just gets excited...it's that nose!) Buddy has known only one home for his whole life. Can you grant him his wish and give him a second chance. He can pay your kindness with lots of kisses, lap time and unconditional love! Adoption rate $55 - already neutered and vaccinated upon arriving at UPAWS. Buddy is our Deb's Dog of the Month for March. Buddy's Heartworm test has been sponsored by the Deb's Dog Program. The Deb's Dog of the Month Program has donated to help UPAWS kick off it's Heartworm Testing program by donating toward the purchase of our initial Heartworm testing kit.
