Fundraising Activites

The Marquette County Humane Society is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1975 by concerned local citizens to help unwanted and stray animals in Marquette county.   The Humane Society does not receive any Federal, State or County funding but relies completely on the generousity of its citizens, members and buisnesses through donations and various fundraising activities.

Tee Up For Tails

This years' 11th annual golf outing will be held on Friday, May 30, 2008 at the Marquette Golf Club - Heritage Course.

Enjoy a 4-person scramble playing 18 holes of golf while raising money for the animals!  Buffet style lunch will be served when teams finish playing, drinks will be provided on the course, silent auction, 50/50 drawing & great prizes will top off the days activities.

Prices: $75.00 per golfer or  $300.00 per team.  Hole/Tee Sponors $75.00  Tournament Sponsor $250.00

 Burke Photos Pet Portrait Fundraiser

Burke Photos held its annual MCHS "Pet Portrait Fundraiser" this April 2008 for the shelter. A record Ninety-Three  pets had their protraits taken professionally making this year's fundraiser a great success!

A special thanks to Burke Phots for adding two full extra days to accomodate the requests for pictures.

Strut Your Mutt

The Marquette County Humane Society Second Annual “Strut Your Mutt” Benefit Walk for Homeless Animals held Saturday, September 8th 2007 at Mattson Lower Harbor Park was a HUGE Success thanks to the outstanding support from our wonderful community! Over 220 dogs and their people pals enjoyed a sunny morning of socializing, food, contests, games, exercise and “dog-gone” fun!

The power and compassion of our community rose over $16,000 of much needed funds for the shelter! All the money raised goes to help sheltered pets find new loving homes.

Memorial Dinner/Dance for Cathy Dupras - Huge Success!

The Memorial Dinner/Dance for Cathy Dupras held November 9th. What an outstanding evening of caring, loving people coming together in celebration of Cathy's life.

THANK YOU to Cathy's family, friends and to all the businesses and people & to the Community for attending, buying raffle tickets and for your support! An Outstanding $13,740 was raised! All proceeds will go to help MCHS homeless pets find loving homes.  A heartfelt thank you from us and from our homeless pets too!
