Bear & Abby

(submitted on November 6th, 2007)

Bear and Abby, our most recently adopted family members from the Marquette County Humane Society, are faithful companions. Bear is always with Tom and Abby does not go out of my sight. It is difficult to believe neither dog was wanted by the previous owners. Bear was neglected and had some health issues. Abby, a victim of cruelty, also had a serious medical issue. Adopted one year apart, the dogs have become best friends and have similar likes and dislikes. They both turned six years old this summer, and love to bark, dig, and play tug-of-war with their toys. They do not like the snow, sharing anything, or having to eat dog food every once in awhile. They get along well with the other dogs in the household and are here to stay. Thank you MCHS for having provided them a temporary safe haven.
