Walter (submitted on January 16th, 2009) Hi all,
Walter Here,
Yes, this is my mom's idea of dressing me up for Halloween. As you can see I'm totally thrilled.
I was adopted one year ago this past July. I'm a Maine Coon weighing in approximately 20 lbs. My mom says my weight is mostly fur and not to fret about it.
I have 2 great cousins, Leo and Aidan (brothers - tabby's adopted from MCHS) that come up from Gaylord every few weeks and we terrorize my big house by ripping up and down the staircase playing chase and there are so many places to jump, leap and hide in. The days fly by when I have company.
When my buddies aren't around, my favorite playtime is around 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. Just about time that dad's alarm is ready to go off. I have big furry mitts for paws and like to "biff" my mom in the head while she is sleeping. she'll get up every now and again to whip my toys down the hall for me to chase. If not, then I have to be happy with cuddling up beside her for a few hours of loving since I'm just not happy anywhere else at that time.
When my adult people are finally up and moving...then it's time for me to settle down in the middle of their bed - nice and warm; time for a nap myself. It's a tough job but somebody has to do it.
That's it on my end. I hope all the Humane Society adopted pets are as lucky and loved as I am.
