This is Deg! I adopted him about two weeks ago, and he is now living the
good life. He lives in a 30 gallon aquarium that is half-filled with
Carefresh so he can build his gerbil tunnels to his heart's content! He has
lots of things to chew on (as you can see), and he has his Silent Spinner to
run on as well as a few gerbil neighbors that he likes to play with through
the glass. I believe he was originally named Zippy at the Humane Society,
but he was accidentally called a Degu when he first came in, which inspired
his new name! He's such a personable little guy, and he'll stand up on his
back legs and peer up at us when we talk to him - he's really listening,
even if it is just us telling him he's too cute for his own good :) He's
such a happy peppy little boy - I'm glad he's in my life!
