The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter staff, members and volunteers are united in their love for animals and concern for their welfare. Be a part of a caring and compassionate community by becoming a member of UPAWS. If you're already a member, thank you for your support and please renew.

When you become a member, you will be joining our efforts to promote the humane treatment of animals, place homeless pets in new loving homes, reunite lost pets with their owners and provide protection, care and shelter for unwanted and homeless animals. You will also be kept informed of news and upcoming events by receiving our newsletter, "The Pet Gazette", and invitations to our special events. You will be able to vote for board members at our "Annual Meeting" held in May.

The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter is a not for profit organization. We rely solely on fundraising activities, individual donations and annual membership fees for financial support.

All memberships are valid for one year from the date payment is received. Membership renewal reminder letters will be sent out the month before the annual membership is due for renewal.
