Why purchase a Marquette County Dog License?1-It's the Law! The State of Michigan requires that the owner of a dog that is four or more months old apply for a license.
2-If your dog is lost and someone finds it, law enforcement officials will be able to find you! Marquette County Central Dispatch has access to owner information for all dogs that are licensed in our county.
3-It's affordable, easy, and the right thing to do!
What is required to purchase a dog license?
~ A valid rabies vaccination certificate (with a vaccine licensed by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture), signed by an accredited veterinarian
~ Certificate of neutering, if applicable
~ Appropriate fee:
Spayed or Neutered/Male or Female- 1- year license $6 or 3-year license $12* Non altered Male or Female- 1- year license $12 or 3-year license* $30
*available in conjunction with proof of a new 3-year rabies vaccination.
Purchase your license by the last day of the month in which your dog receives its rabies vaccination to avoid late penalties!

~ Various City and Township offices
~ New - Animal Medical Center, Bayshore Veterinary Hospital, Gwinn-Sawyer Veterinary Clinic, Negaunee Veterinary Clinic, Northern Veterinary Associates
~ Marquette County Humane Society - the Humane Society retains 50% of the revenue from the licenses it sells!
