Volunteer Vets for Homeless Pets is a program where every two weeks a local vet comes to UPAWS to check out the animals waiting for adoption. This will help the homeless pets of UPAWS get the medical attention they need and provide UPAWS with a cost saving service.
New Volunteer Vet Update! Thank you Dr. Jack Rauch from Negaunee Vet Clinic for donating your time today to look at some UPAWS pets!
Dr. Rauch volunteered to come to UPAWS on his day off to help us keep the UPAWS pets healthy! Thank you Dr. Rauch for your kindness
Please tell your local vet Thank You for supporting this program
Previous Visits:
Thank you to Dr. Brauer (and family) of Marquette Vet Clinic for donating his services today! Dr. Brauer spent some time with Kitty, Boo Boo, Mowie, Katrina and more! Kitty is going to get a dental and Boo Boo received a blood test. We are very, very thankful for Dr. Brauer spending time with the animals today and we are grateful for the Volunteer Vet Program that helps the animals and keeps cost down at UPAWS.
Thank you again Dr. Brauer and Marquette Vet Clinic.
Thank you to Dr. Fahner and Northern Vet Assoicates for volunteering during our Volunteer Vets For Homeless Pets program. Dr. Fahner was able to spend time with 6 different animals and also help us get caught up on Feline Leukemia and Fecal test – saving time and money for UPAWS!!! Thank you again Dr. Fahner!
Volunteer Vet Dr. Palo from the Gwinn Saywer Vet Clinic paid the pets at UPAWS a visit on Thursday! Thank you Dr. Palo - because of you the pets at UPAWS got a little extra TLC and the care they deserve. We love our local Veterinarians and we appreciate the extra mile they go for UPAWS
We had a visit from a volunteer Vet yesterday! Thank you to Dr. Hunt of Bayshore Vet Hospital. Dr. Hunt spent some time with a few of our animals, getting them in tip-top shape! He also took Molly back to his clinic for a recheck on her eye. Thank you so much Dr. Hunt for giving a little extra to the homeless pets!
Dr. Rauch from Negaunee Vet Clinic stopped by today to volunteer. He was an amazing help and came at just the right time! Last night we had seven cats and kittens dropped off, hungry, dehydrated, eyes infected, ears infected and anemic, they were badly in need of a little extra attention, so we felt very lucky to have Dr. Rauch here at UPAWS today to give these sweet babies the care they needed. Dr. Rauch was also able to look at Scarla, Justice, Velvet, Storm, Sonny and Cass. Thank you thank you thank you Dr. Rauch!
Thank you Dr. Brauer for visiting UPAWS today for another Volunteer Vet Visit. Dr. Brauer was able to visit with 8 animals for health and wellness checks.
