What's Happening at the Shelter?

Tommy came to UPAWS looking for a new home – instead he found a place in our hearts. Tommy immediately made friends with the shelter staff and you could often find him resting in their arms or riding on their shoulders. His bright blue eyes and gentle personality easily won over all that met him. Tommy’s illness over took him these last few days despite the efforts of the UPAWS staff and vets. Per recommendation of a Veterinarian, the difficult decision was made to help Tommy cross to the Rainbow Bridge. Tommy had a wonderful last day filled with love, yummy treats, watching the birds out the window and sitting in his favorite perch. Every couple of minutes Tommy could be seen in the arms of a loved one. His last moments were peaceful and surrounded by those that loved him. Rest in Peace special Tommy. You will be remembered, always.
